Free things to do when staying at Ebb Tide
Who doesn't want to make their holiday money go that little bit further? Here are a few of our suggestions for free trips out and places to go. Helping you save your money for that ice-cream or meal out!
1. Filey Beach
No trip to Ebb Tide would be complete without some time on Filey beach. Only a 10 mins walk away, you will be blown away by the 5 miles of soft sand. Plenty of space for some beach cricket, bodyboarding, sand castle building and dog walking.
2. The onsite pool, playground, sauna and steam room, plus gym.
Yes the onsite facilities are included in the price so you don't have any leisure passes to buy. It is these hidden costs, like passes, which can really bump up the price of that holiday (just think of the extras when travelling abroad!). We have paid for the leisure facilities for you so you don't have to!
3. Fossil hunting by Filey Brigg.
There are fossils to be found on the beach at the Filey Brigg end of the beach. Spend some time at low tide seeing what you can find! You might find something really special!
4. Crescent Gardens & Glen Gardens
On a windy day, take a picnic to the gardens in Filey where you can get out of the wind. Family friendly with a wildlife garden, band stand and lots of seating (wonderful views over the beach). Some paid for activities like a boating lake and crazy golf; but who doesn't love a picnic with a sea view!
5. Filey Dams
This large freshwater marsh is a great place to see rare birds and amphibians. Entry is free and there are walkways around the site.
6. Flamborough Head
This cliff top walk is a brilliant place to spot puffins and seals. Don't forget those binoculars!
